John has been with the firm since 1962, and served as a partner for over forty years until transitioning to emeritus status in 2010. John served as Appointed Actuary and Illustration Actuary for several life insurance companies and fraternal benefit societies during his tenure with GBC, and continues to provide vital support and peer review services for its clients. Outside the firm, John helped found the Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre, and continues to actively support the arts in the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City Corridor.
